Hi All , first post to say hello and introduce myself , have been lurking for a few days since picking up my red cinq sporting and already found some excellent info (y)

Have downsized from a clio 172 cup so the cinq will be my daily drive to work. I Also have a 280 bhp 200sx tucked up in the garage , driving the cinq on a regular basis should make that feel pretty rapid!

Picked the car up about 4 days ago , so far I've resprayed the back bumper as it had faded a lovely shade of dog dick pink and a few other little jobs like bulbs and stereo.

Jobs on the to do list unfortunately the fuel tank leak which is how I found this site in the first place. New tank on the way , unfortunately only discovered the leak after brimming the tank , d'oh! Also on the list are to respray the front bumper and I think a set of rear bushes wouldn't go amiss!

Anyway , look forward to posting more on here. Cheers , Bill . :)

its happened to us all I think! you are now initiated, there will be plenty more fun on the way :)

That'd be a weird conversion!

I'm gonna try and stick to returning the car to how Fiat intended with new bushes and shocks , no engine mods (famous last words)!

I am quite interested in delving into the ECU though, anyone on here into EPROM tuning? I've done quite a lot on my Nissan and a fair bit of research into delta integrale ecus (sit next to an integrale nut at work) which I believe is a similar software to the little cinq.

I think the ECU is similar. There is a chip made by guy on here (search mckrich chip), just swap out the old EEPROM and fit the new one.

There is a code reader dev thread too. Am tempted to knock an app together for it, but lack a wired in ECU to test it on since I moved my car onto megasquirt.

I've got a friend looking at building a completely programmable board into the Marelli ECU box, allowing simple connectivity and programability.

Marelli used to do one themselves but dropped it about 6 years ago.

Trying to work out if it can be done for a reasonable price.

Cheers

SPD

Sounds good. Arc do you have a link to the code reader thread?

I have a Moates Ostrich 2.0 emulator which should work , if I can get a spare ECU cheap I might see if I can connect and have go at putting a tunerpro definition file together. Although I have read about immobiliser issues so sounds like it might not be straightfoward.

Here's a picture of the cinq , I've now painted both bumpers and polished up some of the other panels to try and make it look a bit smarter , she looks a lot better than when I picked her up for the sake of a few rattle cans and few hours work:

And my s13 owned for around 3 years , she's a slag built for go not show!

I like you already..

Loving the s13, my mum had one when i was a little younger and i have always wanted one. Its beginning to get hard finding good solid one now.

With regard to the cinq, its always nice to come across a good original cinq, they becoming rarer and rarer these days. Although, there is alot to be said for making how fiat should have made it in the first place, just a bit of mild tinkering... Goooo Onnnnn, you know you want to really ;)
