Hey...
Well basically in my car i have the following:

1 x XTC Split System 300 w (Dunoo what the RMS is)
1 x Vibe black air 12 1600w (550w RMS)
1 x 1000w Blaster 4 Ch Amp ( 4 x 250 w )
I blew my other amp (Not sure how but anyways) Im looking to buy an Amp that i could run my whole system off cause my 1000 w 4 ch wont handle all of the power.
My choices i picked out where as follows: (In My price range)

What Sub Would do the best for my system??
Thanks so much

1 x 6 x 9 pioneer (meaning a set) lol
i had a monoblock before this but i didnt like it, it was bad!! so i took it out.

TBH Mate i would keep your money in your pocket everything that you have listed there just looks like cheap rubbish probably no better than what you have ATM.
I would keep the sub its not really too bad at all but to get the most out of it you will want to run it off a separate amp to the speakers and im sure that we can get it thumping.
Have a look at JBL for amplifiers i will find you a couple of examples but first what Ohm does your sub run at as that is a pretty important factor in choosing an amp if you are unsure about the ohm's just turn it upside down and post some pictures of the connections then we should be able to tell.
You will have to increase your budget though as i said spending R1350/£75 will not make any improvement what so ever.

Hey
it has 1 neg and pos terminal on one side and another neg an pos terminal on the other side, its a 4ohm i think?
one more q....when i play music at the moment when the bass drops and its loud my amp seems to switch off???and it comes on like 1 sec later, its almost like ressetting, anyways does this mean my amp is duffed or im jus running too much off it at one time?

Ok well it is a Dual Voive Coil (DVC) so it can be wired at 2ohms i would suggest that when you do buy your amp you look for one that is 2ohm stable as that will give you more Wattage for your money.
The problem with your amp may be that it isnt 2ohm stable and it is going into protection mode or you have all the settings wrong and it is going into protection mode.
How have you wired the sub have you
1st + to 2nd + , 1st - to 2nd - then 2nd - to amp - and 2nd + amp +.

To be honest i wasnt the one who wired it. When i bought a box they wired it for me. as far as i no the just used one of the neg and pos terminals and ran it out of the box.
So i think he only used 1 pos terminal and 1 neg. Both on the same side and bridged it across 2 channels...

What £nobs you should always use both coils on a DVC sub even if it is wired into 4ohm's do you have a link to the amp that you believe to be not working.

Can you also do a check of the sub to see what Ohms it is showing if you have a multimeter handy.
All you do is put the multimeter on th + and - connections from the box should be OK.

If you dont have a multimeter then can you try and push in the subs cone down slowly applying pressure evenly and feel/listen for any grinding it will be obvious if it is.

I thought this too until recently, but apparently duel coil subs are OK running off one coil  however it changes the speakers TS parameters slightly

Surely it is still going to be better to run the coils Parallel + to - then to amp.

So if i understand TS Parameters correctly if a cheaper subs TS parameter changes is that not likely to to cause damage to coil similar to massively under-powering it.

You can run one coil if need be say for instance your amp is not 2ohm stable in mono, not many people do this as they just buy an amp thats suits the sub or vice versa.

You can damage subs from under or overpowering however most are damaged due to underpowering and overspanking (usually results in clipping) if the gains are not correctly set.

Yeah but if the sub does not have as much motor as it is designed for then wouldnt the coil burn out.

Apparently not! Academic really though as i doubt there are many people that would only wire up a single coil :bang:
