OK,
So last weekend I was going embark on the job of replacing both front wish bones, drop links, ARB bushes (poly replacements) Track rod ends.
So after jacking and removing the wheel, I noticed the nearside drive shaft inner CV boot was split. Got the spares for that this week (not convinced they gave me right one yet).
Today, car jacked up, wheel off, track rod end off drop link off. I have been spraying wd40 on bolts/nuts etc.
The pinch bolt for the wishbone knuckle joint was was stiff and then sheared when taking it off. Eventually got the remainder of the bolt off and got the wish bone off.
Took the ring of bolts out that join the inner CV joint to the gearbox out and the pulled the drive shaft free.
Took the dust cap and circlip of the CV joint and this is where i have had to stop.
Despite removing the circlip, I cannot get the CV joint of the shaft.
Using s brass drift and larger hammer, it won't budge.
I welcome any suggestions on how to get this thing off.....
Cheers.
