Right, ive had a look on here and i couldn't find a thread on insurance except for the chris knott one so started one here.

Basically ive just got a renewal quote from Tesco insurance for the GP.....£1800 for a 1.2l 8v, and ive got a years no claims. Im frickin raging!

Ok ive got 3 points and a claim which will be the reason but i would have thought a years no claims would drop the price a little more than 50p!

Whos everyone with on here? its due for the 1st of Feb so need to start ringing numbers.

Cheers

Best thing to do imo is go thru topcashback to confused.com & gocompare and get them to do the leg work. Plus doing it thru topcashback you get paid to search :-D Wifes insurance is due on 18th an this is my method.
Once you've got a decent quote from them, either accept or think bout haggling with Tesco.

I'm pretty sure FS have a thing with Chris Knott insurance........
I just got a new policy yestreday, even though my insurance isn't due untill the 18th of Janurary.
Found a few prices online, then rang Chris Knott & they were able to beat the best quote by £17, with a lower excess.
So very happy with what I got & that's with the induction kit declared.

There is Andi, if you get your best quote and qualify then either phone or email (see thread for details) Chris Knott. They will either beat it or price match. I've emailed them recently and I'm impressed by there service.

Elephant did me a good deal (well, as good as insurance deals ever get) last renewal

Chris knott get lots of good things said on forums, i cant personally endorse them having never been eligible for their deals because the goalposts move every single year for the age your eligible for their deals, no doubt you'll be in the same boat and not qualify due to age

Fantastic saving! Did you also try confused just to compare the two comparison sites? Right, off to do the same, starting quote £600

p.s. 25% of your saving would be a nice tip  :ROFLMAO:

I got mine through Adrian Flux for £350 a year with a decent excess fully comp and with all mods declared. Bet the next best by over £150 as well, which I was happy about. I've got an SP30 from '09 and a claim from start of '07 against me too so just got 3 years NCB.

i spose its the 3 years NCB thats helping that quote bud, quite impressive though. im happy with 800 quid tbh

Yeah, only went down by a tenner or so after getting another year's NCB though. Hopefully I can get through another year without making a claim and get it protected :) But yeah, £800's good for your age and all the other factors. I remember getting quoted around that driving the Punto and that was with 2 years NCB if memory serves and me being 24 at the time. Was before the claim but after a previous SP30 in '04.

aye i aint calling it done and dusted yet so it might be more but thats what they quoted me on the net so it must be close to that.

i put my mum on the policy and it lowered it a good 200 quid. so if i was gonna recommend anything it would be to add another driver :D
