I recently bought a second hand punto and have had no issues up until yesterday- pulled out of my parking space, went to put it in first gear and nothing! Opened the hood and the clutch slave cylinder rod had come through the plastic top and snapped, and it has bled quite a bit of hydraulic fluid. Clutch pedal incredibly light and popped back into place no problem so don't think it's anything more serious so here's my question-
- Replacing the slave cylinder- something I can do myself or need a mechanic?
- If using a mechanic how much should I expect reasonably to pay? Have had a look on some of the forums and costs seem to vary and don't really want to be charged the earth!
