Need help with key issue

Hello I am new here and would appreciate some advice.

I bought a Fiat 500 Pop 2014 model,it has a remote fob that works perfect and a normal spare key thats non remote.

The spare key opens the doors and works ignition but the starter turns once then it cuts off and does not start.Same every time.

What could be the issue here?

Hi. Check to keycode light.

Its possible the car isnt reading the chip within the key..

Are you saying the remote key gets the engine running properly?

Thank you for reply, yes the remote key works 100%, but the spare standard key,opens and locks car,and turns ignition on,it allows starter to turn over once then cuts off every time?? thanks

So. What is the key symbol on dash showing.. ?

The yellow padlock lights up is that what you mean? sorry if im dumb

That means the IMMOBILISER is active.

So it wont start.

As long as the other key works 100% of the time.. then suspect that basic key has a bad chip.

They can be swapped and reprogrammed quite cheaply.
