Technical Need advise

Hello to all,

I seem to have a problem with my 2007 grande punto 1.2 8v.

When the car is idle, it seems to be making some sort of a tapping or clicking noise and it seems to be coming from under the bonnet. whether its from the engine or other parts.

However it seems to disappear when i press the clutch pedal all the way down and when pressed down, however when i release it or let go of it, the noise or tapping sound comes again.

i dont know if its to do with clutch pedal or something like clutch bearing.

Can someone advise or has anyone had this sort of problem?

Hey thanks for your reply, I had a look at the link provided and to be honest am not sure if its the same problem described but i will take it to a local garage and just hoping they wont give me bad news or giving me a silly quote to get it fixed.
