Technical need a Uno champion

My 1992 1108cc 1.1 IES, is getting on my nerves. starts fine and when warm runs and idles perfectly, but until it gets warms and when revs die like stopping at lights etc. she cuts out, restarts fine, but you need to keep revs high. One thing I noticed when engine is still cold, if you disconnect the plug to the butterfly valve potentiometer it doesn't stall, it idles OK but a little rough.

I have a similar problem on my 999 that has been diagnosed as a faulty throttle body on the Bosch Mono-Jetronic S.P.I. These seem to be made of unobtanium.
