Technical Need a new stereo!!

Hey people,

So I’ve had my GP 1.4 Active for just over a year. Absolutely love it, apart from one thing. My usb has to be plugged into the glove compartment to listen to music from it. Then I can only use the steering wheel controls to change the track & the head unit just shows media player.

I’m looking to get a fairly updated looking stereo. I’m open to either single or double din. Preferably with the ability to join steering wheel controls.

I would really appreciate if you could give me any recommendations & ideal a few pictures so I can see what the outcome was from your work!

I have a Sony Mex 5200 BT without steering controls, but have bluetooth and leds with vumeter.

You can config and the radio leds goes on and off with the music.

You need to buy the conversion kit from eBay/Amazon or your dealer.

Realistically I’m not looking to spend an absolute fortune, also don’t want cheap products.

After that, it's a case of looking at headunits which have steering control compatability, and all the other features you want. I'm a fan of Pioneer as they seem to sit right on that cusp of not being super cheap/expensive and having good features.

+1 for Pioneer Stuff. Good Value and you get a good choice depending on price limit.
