General Need a FL (USA) mechanic

Does anyone have a mechanic in FL they can reccomend, particularly in South Florida?

I would like to get some professional help to get the 500 running just right.

Anyone?? I'm striking out and more people seem afraid of working on it than I expected.

Googling says the Alfa clubs trust an "Auto Veloce" in North Miami, but if you're striking out with Italian ones, I would search the VW Bug forums and see if there's a trusted indy for classics. That, or the Porsche Club and see who the air-cooled ninjas are down there. There are enough high end cars and classics in south Florida that you should have options.

Im honestly floored by your experience. The 500 is one of the simplest automotive engines i have ever worked on, and im sure many will agree. Any competent classic mechanic would never refuse to work on a 500, lol. There has got to be a good German/Italian mechanic out there that would be willing to look at it. Classic VW techs could easily work on a 500.

Then agian, most mechanics nowadays are plug and click diagnosis so, "old school" tech is far beyond their abilities.

Are you having engine, or drive-train issues?

My friend Andrew Cole lives in upper Florida probably can help you. He's made YouTube videos and is also on Facebook. He helped me just by texts for me to remove my engine and gearbox and I NEVER did anything like that before!
