Halfords. Ok, the software that comes with it is more basic that you would like, however, it's a pretty good PDA and being windows mobile 2003 it will support just about any PDA software you want.

A 1gb memory card and TomTom 6 (through any source you wish...) will get you a pretty decent system.

£99 in store or £104 delivered. Be quick if you want it. Otherwise stick with Currys TomTom One V2 deal circa £145. I know I prefer the PDA based units due to the flexibility and ease of upgrading.

i'm seriously serioulsy tempted by this... could sell my tomtom mobile software (on a 1gb mem card) and bluetooth gps reciever for about £100 im thinking and then my phone is free to be used as well a phone! :chin:

If you have a Halfords near by I would advise you go and have a play, I wouldn't purchase one thinking I would be happy with the installed navigation software, at least not for the long term.

can get decent software for it easily enough... so as a base platform the pda with inbuilt gps reciever looks good to me :chin:

going to pop to halfords after work i think :)

Definitely a good base system with lots of future potential, I am pretty sure of that, though I have never used this particular unit. I believe it is based on the Acer n35 on looks though I may be wrong. I would be going for it if i was in the market. 1gb memory card = £10 and will fit TomTom 6 West Europe on.

Yep, ebuyer, amazon, mymemory etc. will do you one about £11-12 inc. postage (MMC) which is all you need, I bought one recently. Obviously if it is within an order it will be about £8-10.

ghost your going to have to road test it for us.

does it have current speed, updated time to destination every time I get stuck in traffic etc??

and as for the pda bit, what does it do apart from the stuff my phone does (notepad, reminders, calender, daily organiser etc).

does it have bluetooth, wireless etc?

PDA: Has things like pocket word, pocket excel, works with outlook, loads of games, software etc. no wifi or bluetooth
