Navigon Satnav

I have had my Navigon now less than 12 months, bought new from Halfords as a cheap nav to for occasional use.

I came to use it the other day and it wont load up.

I have misplaced the receipt so I can't take it back to Halfords.

Anyone know how to repair them or any clue as to whats up with it?

Below is a picture of how far it gets.

I have left it like this for hours and it doesn't go any further. I have tried plugging it into my PC and my PC doesn't recognise it.

Navigon is a bad sat nav full stop.

I work at Halfords and we don't tend to recommend Navigons because of there problems.


You might need to update the software on the sat nav as this is the most common problem.

If its not showing up on your computer try another computer, check to make sure the USB lead is working correctly.

Contact navigon, but I bet you ANY money it will cost more money to repair than to simply buy a new one.

Sorry to hijack a thread, but since this is about Navigons, does anyone know where to get a new mounting bracket for a 13/23 series Navigon? After I killed my Corsa back in January it was unsalvageable and i only got the power cord and Sat nav itself out.
