I have had all the wheels off,and scraped off the old under seal of the wheel arches as I am in the process of wax oiling etc.(I only mention this as it may have some bearing!) After this process I took her for a drive as the sun was shining and there is an inconsistent rattle coming from the back, (If it was rear wheel drive I would have gone for something "off" with the prop-shaft) I have looked at lose exhaust etc but cant see anything obvious, It is not just a tinkle but a real rattle and seems to need the car warming up a bit, i.e. a little run around, uneven road surfaces will brig it on, and it doesn't seem to increase with speed, As I took it out the garage this morning it went clank clank twice then nothing for 10 mins or so. :(
I think I have covered every thing but please ask away, but an answer would be great.

Chris

Have you checked to see if any of the old underseal may have jammed in between the rear disc water covers, this may lead to scraping or ratling sounds.
