i'm getting a knock from the front, noticable at low speeds, it is speed not rev related as it is there when coasting. hard to describe just a gentle thun-thun-thun noise.
any ideas of what to check for first?

if its the same knock as mine its probably the anti roll bar drop link they cost about a £10

just a flesh wound!

considering the handling issue I've had where it gets all out of shape at highspeed on coners, suddenly oversteering etc ARB seems a likely culprit. hope I can get it sorted by sunday.

Thrumming would make me look towards a cv joint, or the wheel bearing(s). Knocking, however, and scary handling on bends, is more likely to sound like a distinct knocking, which will be caused by knackered ball-joints(needing new wishbones) or by worn ARB bushes. Of all the above problems, you should pray its just ARB bushes, since those bad boys only cost about £2 each, and you'll probably need a set of 4.
