I have had it. My sub keeps cutting out. Over the past days I have checked the connector at the battery and that was all messed up so I changed this and thought problem solved. Then it still kept cutting out so I changed my earth which was messed up as the connecot for the power. Now it still keeps cutting out. I am goin to try and swap the sub with another enclosure and see what happens. Any help will be a god send as this is doing my head in now.

Thanks
Simon

Have you checked the remote wire from the headunit to the amp. If this is loose (prob behind headunit) the amp will keep turning on and off

I havent checked yet but i used one of them blue connectors that you can get from motorworld and they are great but i hope it aint loose. Thanks for the feedback

is it not your amp protecting itself rather than the sub cutting out or is it not even connected to an amp

I hope you didnt use a snaplock connector for any connections. they are totally useless..

Owen.

re

totally agree with the above,

those blue connectors are absolutely wank, be brave, cut the cables and join them or strip a little bit of the wire off to join the new one on!

othjer than that is your amp getting hot? it will probably have a safety cut out? turnthe gains on it right down and see if it stil happens?

when i had to connect wires on my ice i used them small "lego" block connectors with screws and also wrapped electrical tape around them.

re

i always called them chocolate block connectors dunno why! lol,

they woudl be better i think, but really you shoudl solder the wires together, then tape them up or for very proffessional shrink wrap them whatever its called! my mind is going this morning! thank god its friday!

This hass never happened before but i will turn the gain down later and see if it still happens. I am gonna do a full check on the connectors at all ends just to make sure nothing is loose. Thanks for the comments

hi i had the same prob with mine sub was coming and going. Check all the connections are tight and and good connections. If possible check the power and remote wires with a meter to check voltage etc. sometimes a wire could be loose causing a bad connection even check the inline fuse on the power wire. Eventually traced mine to break in the remote wire behind the seats. I just cut and soldered wire and got some heat shrink from work. works fine now!

sorry for the long post

cheers paul.
