Re: My Cleaned Euro Stilo

Car looks great and though modding of hot hatches is not my thing I loved the modding seen when I had my Rex. The red is not my cub of tea for an interior but great smoothed out look and euro wheels.

But I have to ask why spend all that money on modding a 1.4? Surely you spend the money on a powerful car? You need the engine to match the look!

Why

The 1.6 apparently isn't much more powerful than the 1.6, so other than the 1.8 which is going to cost more to run there isn't any point.

I'm not sure of Coyles reasons, but I've a 1.4 and its more than powerful enough for what is needed on a day to day basis including overtaking comfortably ;)

I'm thinking more the 2.4 abarth. Of course people have their own reasons but I think if you can be overtaken by most cars whats the point lol

Its like saying hay look at my car its slow but is trying to look fast.

how is it tryin to look fast?

the 2.4 abarth is so underpowered for a 2.4 so there wouldnt be any point in one of those.
i got a 1.4 because i've got 9 points and a big claim so its cheap to insure.
and with all the expensive mods i need something cheap to run.

Re: My Cleaned Euro Stilo

(y)Mate, that looks real nice. love the rims. looks real clean, great work.

cheers mate, its the clean look i'm after.

Update..
Popped in to the bodyshop yesterday to see how they were getting on, and it was looking brilliant, it's exactly what i asked.. cant wait to get it back, should be about 10-14 days now i think

Re: My Cleaned Euro Stilo

Please don't take offense, non intended I assure you was just curious of your engine choice that's all :)

I agree the abarth 2.4 should be more powerful for a 2.4 but its the biggest stilo hence why i said about it. And i know the feeling about insurance and points, I have 3 points and Im 21 so insurance is always an issue, but I found that the insurance doesn't increase as much as you would think against the smaller engined versions.

Car looks great mate and absolutely love the euro wheels, suit your car down to the ground. Did you get the pics done professionally?

Have you driven one  170Bhp isnt too shabby, and keeps the insurance down.
The major bummer is having to replace the pinstons and cams ect to actually tune the engine.

MEP My 1.6 is running just a tad under 130bhp and the difference is def noticeable against the 1.4 that i tried. I think that was running about 100bhp.

yeh i photo-shopped a few sets of wheels on but the MAM's were my favourites so went for them!
The pics were taken by a guy called phil steinhardt, they were for my max power feature in August :)

Yeh, i have, i must admit, it was alot quicker than mine, but compared to my mates clio 182, it just didnt feel quick at all.
i would like a few more horses under the bonnet i must admit, but it's quite obvious my car is all show not much go. but its certainly quick enough for me :) (especially as im trying to keep my license haha)

Re: My Cleaned Euro Stilo

Yeah but thats not standard is it:confused: 1.4 wacks out 95bhp according to tech sheets standard (well when it left the factory anyways).

Re: My Cleaned Euro Stilo
