Im suprised you've not seen me about then mate, im always aout and about somewhere or another! I've got FK silverline coilovers, think they were bout £550ish or something

FK's are good coilies though! £500 isnt that bad really

they are good coilies... i bought some crap ones for £250, but they never turned up, so i got these instead, now i glad the crap ones didn't turn up ;)

:yum: drool drool :yum: lol finally got to see pics of the gorgeous leather interior.

Looks awesome coyle (y)

Glad you like it mate! nice and bright anyway, the interior defo had to be decent to live up to the exterior! ;)

If your ever up Bradford area drop me a pm as i would love to see it up close and as i have no car on road for a while can't go to any shows :(
Some time money and effort gone into that car and it looks superb chief.
Well Done.(y)

Cheers mate! i'll let you know if im ever passing, is there no-one that lives near you that you could catch a lift to some shows with? I cant wait for modified nationals this weekend.. im inside on the max power stand, so it will be brilliant no matter what the weather haha

They are £220 for a reason. That reason is they are sh!t. You would struggle to get a good spring and damper set up for £220 nevermind good coilovers.
Its true you do get what you pay for mate, and dont realy want to skimp on the thing that stops your car from being on the floor lol

Hi mate,

Nice car! Saw you and the car at Tescos petrol station in Uttoxeter about a month ago. I was in my pile of crap MK1 Uno. Was gonna say hi but you looked in a rush!

Car looks ALOT nicer in person :)

You should of come to say hello mate, never to busy for a chat, especially about the car lol, i live in denstone, and my girlfriend in Uttoxeter, so im in uttoxeter everyday.
My girlfriend isn't a fan of my car lol, she hates the way i spend so mcuh time on it, but i've persuaded her to help me clean it tomorrow (y)

But yeh i want the door cards and dash doing.

Coyle Coyle Coyle..............WOW is all I can say loving the interior(y)(y)(y)

Cheers mate!
It's nice and bright anyway

just wondering how much the roof cost with the stickers on or are they paint

It's vinyl mate, A lad did it me for £100.
a local signwriters was going to charge £200 i think, dunno waht the going rate is?

Good job (y)
I dunno dude, with all respect to your work I think you just spoiled the very good original design. I kinda liked it until it went to the body shop. Honestly, the smoothed bumpers look just not right, an alien element on the nice car. The rest of the car is about sleek lines and edges. To me it looks like cheap trick how to make the car different. i.e. the edge going from the headlight all the way back makes the 3dr nicer to 5dr. you took it away. the original deflector and front bumper look much more aggressive and sportier than smoothed version. the rer bumper is just way too chunky. if you want something different go for diffuser though I would be carefull stilo rear lights are very dominant.
Unfortunately you didn't show a lot of interior. from what can I see it seems to be too much red leather or too much black plastic. Some stilos have silver elements on the dashboard, that would balance the black and red. Steering wheel in red leather also would help. You should deffo go back to the body shop but do some serious design work beforehand. Good luck

It's not meant to look sporty or agressive mate. its meant to look clean and smooth which it certainly does.
in my opinion it looks 1000x better than standard.

and the edge going from the headlight to the rear is still there, i haven't changed that at all!
The rear bumper looks alot better, alot fatter, which is the look i was going for, its too low to add a diffuser on the rear bumper as it would be on the ground, and i'm not a fan of body kits and bits which look like there stuck on,thats why i had it all smoothed.
the standard front bumper is just boring. and in most peoples opininions who have seen it, the smooth version is much better, i wanted something different that no-one else had.

The style i chose was clean/smooth and euro style, hence smooth, low, deep dish wheels etc. but at the same time i wanted to keep it subtle with oem bumpers etc.

As for the interior, I cant have red leather seats that are too red.. lol.
and the carpets in red just brighten it up. my stilo is one of the ones with silver on the dash. ie, my window controls, vent surrounds, headunit surround etc are all in silver. I think a red steering wheel would look out of place.

the work was all carefully planned, and if you see it in person i think you would be amazed, all the original body lines are still present, even though the front bumper has been smoothed it still has the shapes of standards lines through it, and as for the rear bumper, the arches still continue in to it as they would on standard.
and the number plate front recess is there, but now smaller..
its very OEM+

when you say i should go back to the body shop... what would you suggest i have done that would make it look better, different and not tacky

:eek::eek::eek:
What? How old are you? Your basically saying it looks better standard. Which I can't seem to work out in my head. And I don't understand why your trying to be so critical, talking about the line from the headlight to the back not being there....but it is. This is the sexiest stilo you will ever see! And I don't see how anyone could not like it

Coyle, its not 1000x better, its 1,000,000x better. For the amount of work done, I can't believe the difference.

thanks very much mate.. very kind words.

Been thinking of a few new things..
ie..

smooth side strips out
smooth out door handles
relocate petrol cap.
smooth rear bumper in to rear quater,
flare rear arch about 2inches

and a full colour change maybe.. not sure on this one..

Easiest thing would probably be to do all the above at once lol

Would be easiest to do all 3 mod's at the same time wouldn't it.

And you know how I feel on the relocation of the petrol cap :yum:

it would all be done at once yeh. if im having a colour change it would be the best time to do it aswell, but im not sure.
