One of my gear selector cables snapped, borrowed a friends axle stands, set about repairing it with following a guide, got about half way and got bored of trying to get exhaust out of the way, ended up paying a man to do it... Punto has so much stuff in the way of everything else, I have no idea how you're expected to get your hands around all the crap in the engine bay to be able to replace belts and such...

Just didn't have a big enough lolly stick that day...At last...I was beginning to lose the will to live...
Get breakdown cover with your insurance if your worried. Only breakdown I've had was a broken cam belt. Anything else can be fixed with lolly sticks and sticky table..

What's a sticky table??
The one I couldn't fix was the terminal breakdown of that stupid ignition module! Everything else was fixable with sockets, screwdrivers, a big hammer, or cable ties.
