I'm after someone who knows there **** about adhesives. My roofs sagged from the sunroof back. I need a glue to restick it up with. Who can suggest an ideal solution.

Cheers

mine hasn't sagged to much but with the system on it rattles and it does my head in so if how would you get the adesive in as im a bit worried about pulling things apart in my gorgeous bravo.

Sagged roof

When you open the boot, take off the seal that runs around the top of the boot. You can now access the gap between the roof and the roof material. That's how...

Re: Sagged roof

something like a silicon sealant should do shouldent it ? i am assumeing you want something to stick the roof back on and not leave a nasty mark on there, well you would need a glue/sealand with no grease in it or water based i assume.

i have used silicon sealant in my car and on upholstry before and it has never leaked through or looked messy.

You need

You need a fabric glue.

Thought that would make sense really - Sylicone is not suitable as it would stain if it went through! I say IF!!

Dont try to bodge this job as it will cost u 1 hell of a lot if it goes wrong!!!

Re: You need

What you need to get is pressure sensitive tape, this is a clear double sided tape that bonds like glue without the mess and is an instant bond rather than waiting on a cureing time...don't ask me where you can buyit though...I manage to obtain it through a work related source if you know what I mean!!!

Re: Re: You need

Re the double sided tape - carpet fitters use it quite a lot!

Honestly!

Just a suggestion!

Re: Re: Re: You need

Yeah some fabric glue or double sided tape as the fabric is thin and the glue might show through.

Used to use a syringe and clear Bostik, then hold lining in place with a clean old towel and a broomshank or similar to prop it up.

Re: Re: My roofs sagged!!!

RR- I ain't on about normal double sided tape, I'm talking about Pressure sensitive tape, stick absolutly anything together and will stay stuck!!

Saggy roof

Cheers peeps, much appreciated.

Been trying to get hold of some 'pressure sensitive tape', no luck so far.

Brilliant people, keep up the good advice
