Just want your views on my Bog Standard Car!!:D
I want to Tint/Smoke the rear Lights,
Tint the rear Windows,
Get some alloys (i was thinking either Dotz Shuriken or Wolfrace Venom/Sato's 15's :))
Get some new Wing mirrors (DTM or M2 etc)
And maybe get some body coloured bumpers ... sporting ones preferably (as i dont like the black ones!!) i cant find any anywhere for the right price/colour though :(

Have you guys got any other ideas for me......please!

Personally, i would put coloured coded bumpers to the top of your list. They completely transform the car. The other plans are good, and like Mikey says, debadging and lowering looks good.

I think Mikey is down on 35mm lowering springs iirc.

I also wouldn't bother with aftermarket mirrors on the mk2... they look much better simply colour coded!

bump strips as well, put some HGT/Sporting ones re-done in a different colour black usually looks good, but top of the list as Tris said cc bumpers, also while on colour coding do the door handles and mirrors

Tris speaks the truth - 35mm on £80 springs from ebay.

P.S. Tris, i finally bought an airbag today for that steering wheel you sold me! Its like there has been a national shortage of them or something! :p Rest assured it will be put to good use from now on lol.

Thanks for all the help guys(y)

Do you how much i could pick a pair of colour coded bumpers up for? (no one has any on Ebay!) and i cant be bothered with re-spraying them. Which are best sporting ones or just elx type ones? also would i need side skirts with sporting bumpers to make it look good?
Which make of spray is best for colour coding my car and what colour is it called? (dont say dark blue!! :D)
Also could anyone reccomend a decent back box/ exhaust for my car? one that doesnt sound loud (my borther has warned me off this!!) but sounds 'mean' :p!
Sorry about all the questions...!!

ebay of scrapyard is best place to get bumpers.

you will not get them in the colour of your car even if you do it may be a slightly different shade.

any spray paint is good as long as it matches the colour of your car.

open your bonnet and on the under side of it there is a sticker telling you your paint code.

there are soo many exhausts you can get. it will depend on your budget.

(sorry if i sounded a bit blunt but i thought it was easier to answer your questions in bullet points and i cba to type:p)

Lol thats fine Mike thanks for your help!
I dont think i can be assed to get a back box or exhaust and faff around with fitting it etc, same goes for a lowering kit. I will also have to tell insurance and tht will go up and dont want that as its already at 1200!!
i think i will stick to getting some cc bumpers, side skirts (if i manage to find some sporting bumpers) - maybe to make it look cool! - and lower and spraying the handles and mirrors - is this hard - do i have to sand down etc etc or can i just spray over the top with some decent spray!
Also would the lights look best sprayed black or colour coded in with the car!?
Cheers
Sam

Spraying Wing Mirrors

Spraying Handles

Cheers Mike, there a great help, really boosts the look aswell!
Might give it a go (and hope nothing goes wrong!) - seeming as i do nothing when i come home from sixth form!!
What happens if it starts raining? lol

dont spray if there is a risk of rain.

or go in shed or garage but make sure its well ventilated or you might die:p

Its England... theres always a chance of rain!!
I will go out and buy the paint and other bits tomorrow (motabitz has to be the best place for this!!) and let you know how i get on!
Also is it worth colour coding the repeaters or buying black ones?
Cheers

not the best pic but you can make it out(y)

am i wrong in thinking that your punter bumper is the same as a sporting one but just without the holes cut out for the rear plastic mesh? Why don't you just get it sprayed and then add some of your own mesh into the bumper

Ha True!!
Here is my car now... with bumper strips taken off and de-badged the rear.

I have found some HGT bumpers for £95 delivered.

Also which Steering wheel cover do you prefer lol
