Punto (Mk2/2b) My Punto MK2b

Introduction

Hi everyone,
Its not the first time I've showed off a new Fiat on this forum! I used to have a poor little '99 Seicento Sporting Abarth but its was pretty toast.. So now I've got a new baby, its newer and bigger...
A MK2b '03 Punto Active Sport 1.2 8v.. I've driven it once so far and I'm already hooked.. just can't get enough of these little Italian cars!

Regards,
Rhys
Glad I helped you make up your mind on the front bumper, it looks great :)

Also love all the subtle touches you've done :)

My father suggested we do the rear bumper behind the plates too, but I think it's a bit big of a sruface so there would be a lot of black on the rear of the car
Thanks! I know what you mean! There would be a lot of black. I love the sticker bombed inserts under your bonnet, might be something I tackle next.

Thanks for your input :)
Rhys

the punto can do 50mpg motorway cruising quiet easily

But it takes some will power for someone like me todo that
I tend to sit with my foot flat to the floor and keep going rather than keep the mpg right

Indeed a one off trip is one thing but every day mpg is never going to be that good...... Unless you buy the 1.3 multijet because that will do 60+mpg all day every day :p

Normally thats how I drive haha!

It was just that this trip I didn't have much petrol and I wanted to see how little fuel I could use up! So I sat at 60mph, obviously went over it now and then, but just kept the speed consistent and lower than usual, and managed to get that MPG out of it. I think I used up about 2 lines of fuel! Absolutely chuffed to bits with it!

I can normally get a decent MPG out of my car on a day to day basis. Obviously its never gunna be 50/60mpg but its normally sits around 40+ mpg.

Now I'm back in the world of work, I decided to use my day off to a productive use!

So I started with taking off the Sporting badge on my boot lid. Just didn't really go with the HGT look and the rear of my car was looking clustered.

Then I set about sorting a few problems with my new number plates. Unfortunately I had to ditch my number plate surround. I tried using the adhesive strips, but they just didn't work with the surround. So now I've just stuck it straight onto the car.

I also finished putting the black on my front bumper. Also I finally decided to go ahead with the black around the rear number plate! And I have to admit, I love it. Makes the car look so much more modern on the back.

Have a look at all the pictures and let me know what you guys think!

Rhys

just read through your thread and the car looks good best colour for a 2B
have you thought about colour coding the mirrors? also im not to sure about the black around the number plates, maybe straight on would look better, anyway still like the car

Cheers mate :) I like the black bit, adds a subtle touch you don't see on most other Punto's. I have definitely thought about spraying my wing mirrors, and the door handles. Definitely my next mod. Just need to find my paint.

To get your paint is really easy just get the code of your colour and go to your nearest body repair shop and they will mix you some. I know my local one charges £10 for a spray tin of it. :)
