Punto (Mk2/2b) My Punto Mk2b.

Introduction

Right then, I have been on hear a while and own the car for about a year now and it is about time i started this thread so starting from the begining.

I bought the car completely standard and quickly invested in a badgeless front grill, Richbrook taxdisck holder and read universal mud flaps, along with getting rid of all those forcorte stickers.

After a while i then decided to have window tints put on and added a bee sting arial.

Then over the next four months i was busy and most noticeable i bought a set of Fiat 500 Abarth 16" alloys, Wind deflectors, The removal of side bump strips and badges, front punto mud flaps, TI Stickers, Colour coded wing mirrors and Wind screen wash nozzles, Side smoked indicator lenses and Aero wind screen wipers.

Finally i have know had 35mm Gmax lowering spring put on which has made a huge inprovement to handleing and looks of the car with picture to come.

So current car specification is:

Model : Fiat Punto Active Sport 3door
Engine Size : 1.2 8v
Year : 2005
Colour :Baltic Grey

STYLING MODIFICATIONS:
INTERNAL:
Richbrook stainless steel tax disc holder

EXTERNAL:
Window stickers removed
Window tints all round, Light on the front, Medium on the back
Black Aluminium ariel
Rear universal mud flaps
Front Punto aftermarket mud flaps
Side indicators smoked
Active Sport and Punto Badges removed
Badge less front grill
Side bump strips removed
Tinted wind deflectors
35mm Gmax Lowering springs all round
Colour Coded Wing mirrors and wind screen wash nozzles Aero VU wind screen wipers
16” Fiat 500 Abarth multi Spoke alloys

FUTURE MODS:
Exhaust
Side skirts
Induction Kit
Head lights turned black

So what does everyone think?
only real difference between the mk2 and mk2b is the nose and the fact mk2b's have clear rear indicators and crappy reflectors on the boot lid. its a "facelift" model so other than basic cosmetics, the shell of the car is identical.

Yup that is pritty much it. Appart from the "reflectors" on the boot lid dont actually reflect.

Got my Team Heko wind deflectors, they look great (y) About your mud flaps.. are the front ones genuine Fiat Punto mud flaps? And what size are those universal rear mud flaps? Your Punto really inspires me :worship:

Excellent i think they do look good and actualy work if your just having the window open a little bit.

Yer the front ones are off the fiat website in there clearence section. I have no idea what size the rear ones are similar size to the fiat ones i have for the front.

Cheers im glad it does.

Rite then it has been a long time since an update but here we are.

I have now got a stilo front splitter fitted and pianted front brake calipers silver and rear drums black.

On the project list is i have some punto sporting side skirts that are currently been sanded ready to be primed and resprayed.

Heres just a quick recent pic of my car,

Looks nice, The stilo splitter fits on there really well actually, some of them are set too far back and just look wrong.
Where did you get the mudflaps from, might invest in some of them myself at some point. You got sporting alloys on for winter wheels?

Yer i tryed it in many different places but found further forward looked better.

The front mudflaps are punto flaps from fiat and the rear are just universal ones. You can get the punto ones from the clearence section of the fiat website, they are the 188 model ones.

haha yer i have they are the wheels that came with it and dont want to risk damageing my 500 abarth alloys.

Haha they are currently stored at my grandparents house. Ive just moved out of my flat so stuff is allover the place and the car has been use as bit of a removal van otherwise they would still be on at the moment.

Right then hes another update for you all. I have now got my punto sporting side skirts resprayed and fitted :D and here is a few pics:

The first two are what i had to start with after a day in march spent getting bits and pieces from a scrap yard.

Then the third pic is what they looked like after i had got them bad from the bodywork shop.

And the forth one shows the tiger seal been adied by my supports which worked realy well actually, even tho it did take me a couple of attempts to get the tiger seal in the best places so as much as possible was touching the body work.

Finally the last two show how the side skirts look on the car now all finished. (y)

So what do you all think.....

Also stay tuned as there will be more updates after the weekend as going to be fitting my new horns (no more been a shamed when useing it :slayer:)

Haha im definatly likeing the way you think. But i think id need to close my eyes aswel as you watch the beemer more merc just disappear of in the distance and your sreaming comeon as you slowly but surly hit the speed limit and then catch them up. But there is nothing like the sence of achivement as you over take that car that acclerated way from you tho.

you wouldn't be intersted in some fkak coilovers for your punto?
I'm selling mines for £140 posted.
Thats with top mounts and all bolts required for fitting. (just incase you round one of the ones on the car)
