Had my car in the Fiat garage last week due to engine not starting up. Problem was ECU that was rectified, and everything was going great. I was advised to use the Redex petrol treatment liquid for smoother running.
Just on Friday I was driving back home and whilst on the motorway the fuel injection light appeared repeatedly after a few mins or so. Then all of a sudden the engine started to jump and make a strange noise. It was as though the engine was starving for fuel. Anyhow I managed to get home.
I noticed smoke appearing from the exhaust....after I got home.
I started it up this morning, it was running fine until after a few minutes, the fuel injection light remained on and the engine started to shudder. I took it round the block for a test drive and it seems to struggle more whilst driving uphill.
Now I don't know whether the problem is linked to the work carried out by the Fiat garage on the ECU or the Redex treatment which I used. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how it could be rectified ?
I've spent so much on this car already in this month alone, me thinks its time to get rid of it.
