Had the gt in for the mot yesterday , passed ok another year of motoring ahead

Had a great day at the fiat & friends show at the British motor museum, a good selection of mk 1 punto’s & 5 gt’s . The gt won her first trophy for best fiat in show

I’ve had the punto out for a spin the first time this year , i took a photo outside the dealership in chesterfield where it was sold from over 26 years ago

The punto has been in to the mechanic today to replace the front bottom arms and anti roll bar bushes as they were all quite perished and had started to knock on the driver’s side . I also had a new rear anti roll bar & new bolts that I’d picked up ages ago fitted as I’d noticed the brackets that the springs clip to the rear brake compensating valves were not moving freely and very rusted .
Some of the bolts etc were very stubborn to remove but luckily nothing snapped
Drives like new again , surprising how much less road noise there is .
I got arms etc from shop4parts , they were a great price too

I had a run down to the Autosportivo show today , wasn’t a bad turnout of cars

Yeah just a bit , was a couple of hours drive for me . they are restoring a couple at the moment.I asked Ant where he get the parts from and he smiled and said he knows a few people

Mot time today , passed ok It seems to come around so quickly . I stopped for a coffee while I was out and a guy said that brings back some memories, he had owned a black gt years ago . We’re off to a local car meet tomorrow with another mk 1 sporting

A few photos from the car show today, it was a bit of a washout out .a few other fiats there, a modded panda 100hp and I briefly spoke to a young couple with a mk 1 fiorino van .
