Hi Simon, yeah I’ve been trying to get to more shows with it this year and use it as much as I can , the van was mint , can’t say I’ve seen one before, the guy said he’d only paid £100 for it , what a steal. He’s got a body shop and renovated it , he’s currently restoring a yellow gt .

Seeing a few mk 1 threads pop up lately , i decided to get the gt out as I’ve not run it for a few months,fresh fuel in and a decent run out .the roads were pretty clean after all the rain

I’ve done an oil & filter change today on the punto, I’ve always bought a gen filter from the dealer and this is the first time Ive noticed that it’s made in china .

Nice one , I’m just hoping the made in china doesn’t effect the quality of the filter , I suppose lost of production comes from there now and labelled up with a different manufacturer.

We had a run out to the great British car journey tonight to a car meet, I’m here on Sunday to the Italian day . on the way back I saw Andy’s sporting in a pub car park and stopped to get a photo

Thanks Andy, I must admit I love the car now in its near original spec , think they are starting to gain a bit of respect amongst classic car owners.
I sent the photos to my brother and he reminded me that it was the car he’d picked up his daughter from hospital when she was born 20 years ago

That’s scarey, my cab is the same year so it’s weird to think these cars are 25 years old when I remember them being new, a good friend of mine’s dad had a red GT brand new in around 1996

I think it’s these little influences amongst many others that made me a Fiat fan

I was not really into fiats , remember my brothers mate having a 131 mirafiori with added rust and my mate having a lime green uno turbo, i had always had fords mk2 escort , mk 1 xr2 , xr3 , Orion then had a 309gti that was an awesome car . Only bought the punto as my brother was moving home and needed a bit more cash for the deposit and said he’d have it back later once they got straight ……. nearly 20 years on and I still have it
