Technical my punto gt keeps cutting out when revs get low??

hi i have just recently mjust brought a fiat punto gt and i pulled up at the lighs the other day the revs went low and the car cut out doesnt happen all the time tho does anybody no what might be the problem???

how low is low?

does it idle ok when 1st started? They say idling is anywhere between 900 to 1250 rpm. you can tighten the accelerator cable so it does'nt go too low and to get the revs bang on at idle.

ye idling bout 1000 then goes alomost to bout 500 then back up and cuts out sumtyms. and sometimes i put my foot down to pull away and laggs abit like it was struggling???

Give the idle control valve a clean and check for any air leaks
