Hi I have just got this off ebay. I had one years ago and fancied something a bit different and economical. reading through the Panda bit on here I can seee why alot of people seem to be considering the 1242cc swap! I did the scenic route through the Peak district and Chesterfield to get from Mansfield to Manchester and it was very hard going up some of the hills!
Right lets see if I can get some pics on here!

I've got a friend at Rapid Fit, I'm gonna nip down there to get the tracking and balancing done this morning, so hopefully when it's up on a ramp I'll get some pics of underneath.

Just looking at the Panda in your reply. Have you upgraded the headlights? I did notice, driving at night the lights are about as powerfull as a candle!

Just had tracking and balancing done! What a difference! I can actually point it in a direction instead of guessing!
While it was up on the ramp i had a quick look at the sills and they'requite crusty where the inner and outer sills meet, so that'll have to be done for the nxt MOT.
Does anybody know where to get replacement panels? Are sill repair panels made or is it a DIY panelbeating job?

Yes, I have up graded the headlight bulbs (before anyone goes off on one, I have checked and this is perfectly legal!).

Standard fit bulbs and bulbs listed in things like the booklets in Halfords are 40/45Watt, but you can also get 55/60Watt bulbs (same brightness as what are fitted to all new cars now sold in UK) which is what I've fitted to all 3 of our Panda's. Makes a big improvement!

Go into Halfords and you should be able to get the brighter bulbs for about £3.50-£4.50 each (not dis-similar in price to standard bulbs). The glass bit of the brighter bulbs is cylinder, not globe shape like the standard ones.

The base/plate they need to be on is a 'P45T' in order to fit in the Panda's lense properly. Type P45T into ebay search, as they're is someone who sells these at £4.99 pair + £1.50 P+P which is a good price!
