new springs today =] i orderd some really stiff ones so the back isnt so bouncy haha

Are they the 'proper' lowering springs for the Panda?

I have them.......they arne't really that stiff. I'm looking for another set maybe another 50% harder. Was gonna head to the breakers yesterday see what cars have similar size coils.

What wheels has it got out of interest? Not standard Panda are they?

nope there not panda steels

I think they're Vauxhall wheels Jon, but I'm sure scotty will confirm.

you guess corect they are mk1 vauxhall corsa steels

They fill the arches very well and look brilliant. Do the tyres catch the inside of the arch? Or have you cut it out / rolled it?

yeh man they fit real good =] you know vauxhall steels / 20mm spacers and 175/50/13 coninentel tyres =] and the only thing i have done is fold the metal lip up on the arch so the steels sit right behind it so its got a little bit of stance =p

i thort i would take a pic of how less room i have left lol

there is a inch befor its sat on the chassie

yeh there is 4 coils still in there =] and escort van bumpstops =] dw i no what i doing

I love this car!!!! I want my panda to look exactly like yours (ride height, wheel fill etc) when its got the turbo engine in it.

I wonder what it would handle like with these wheels and some low(ish) profile tyres.

Then for the suspension you have lowered springs, cut down to 4 coils, and escort van bump stops. Are the bump stops in the same holes at the original ones?

Do the wheels catch the body though when you hit a big bump/put weight in the back? Or does it hit the bump stop first?

thanks alot man =] ive been trying to get to ride hight perfect and i think its pritty close. as for the wheels there vauxhall corsa steels =]

it handles so well with the low pros on it and at the hight it is at its like a go cart =]

yeh the bumpstops are pritty much the same just a bit fatter =] i really like how it sits on the back

wel i had my welder and a set of wheels in there plus 2 guys and it didnt scrub =D the bumo stop is close but not touching yet hahah

This sunday I may do a few things to the trusty Panda whilst the engine is out.

Think i'll measure the current gap between the tyre and the wheel arch, then get a spacer the same distance so the wheels fill the arch nicley.

Also I'll cut the springs down considering they are pretty crap anyway. Can probably keep the original bump stops as i bought them new and they are still in good condition.

You had a chance to look at adding camber to the Panda wheels yet?

yeh man just have a play about =] yeh i got 20mm spacers and it sits good on the back

yeh man what i did is keep cuting a coil off every time till it was at the hight i wanted =] yeh if your bump stops are in good nick keep them =] mine were poo

tbh i dont think it needs camber at the moment but i will be playing about soon

yup, golf splitter's the way forward then(y) looking good, although I did achieve an even lower stance with Scruffbag last night:

well, at the back anyway. None of this messing about chopping springs, just remove them altogether along with the back axle and wheels and you too could achieve the lower of your dreams. Not terribly practical though.

Seriously, I've been looking for that 'Rust! Save weight, save money' (or whatever it says) sticker for practically my entire life.

Where can you get one!?!?!?!?!

mate of mine called joolz makes them and 100's of other stickers =] he always has loads of them for sale on ebay forsale =]
