Introduction
Hi Guys
Decided it was time to get a new car more fuel efficient car (lol) and after about 2 months i managed to find a 1.9 GP Multijet.
Currently it has around 70k km (units used in South Africa - around 43.5k miles).
It has been remapped and is currently pushing around 145 bhp and 383 nm at the wheels. Its got straight pipes, which i only found out after i got the car.
So far the only issue i have had with the car, which occurred only a week after I purchased the car, is, the exhaust manifold managed to obtain a small hole which created a high pitch whine when going into boost, managed to find a turbo guy to fix that for a 12th of the price Fiat was charging me.
Fiat wanted to replace the whole turbo system (from the airbox to the intercooler to the intake manifold) instead of just fixing the damaged component.
Currently the only issue left is since the exhaust manifold was fixed, it sounds like there is air leaking some where which in turn is making the car smoke. From what is have read on the forum, that's probably a leaking boost pipe.
Otherwise the thing is a beast and kills VW polo tdi's without issues.
enjoying it a lot
The Abarth stickers were added by the previous owner.
Please note I posted a thread in the general section by mistake and that one won't be used
