Well, I just changed the fuel pump for the 2nd time today in 6 months, in my 79 due to a faulty n o.s. fuel pump that failed...love your attitude ! But you might find yourself fixing things you didn't plan on considering they are 46 years old...things like the metal fuel tubing that runs thru your interior that rusts out, the timing belt ect...
It's a fun journey to learn to do the work yourself and sometimes the work might need to be done more that once do to circumstances beyond your control..
