Technical My 500 is burning?

Dear all~

After a few shifts (dualogic, sport mode ON) between 4,000-6,000 rpm with the pedal to the metal... i can smell of rubber burning. It's probably from the clutch... is this normal?

The 500 is a fantastic car... but i am not sure if it's up for the abuse. =P

well if you can smell burning rubber that will be your tyres getting hot, the clutch isn't made of rubber

no... it ain't the tyres; cuz i get this smell even when i blast the car on the straight!

i only hope the dualogic tranny can take the abuse! With a small engine like this... i tend to redline the engine a lot!

it is a regular mechanical gearbox with a normal plate clutch, it is only the gearchange and clutch control that is different
