yes engine turns over fine, dont think that the fuel is getting to the engine.I am going to check the fuel pump fuse under engine in the morning.

Like you said your self, fuses, relay next to the fuse under the bonnet and all main fuses and in car fuses.
Plus, press the cutoff switch a few times more ;)

Also check for spark, fault could be elecricalcheck for loose connections on sensors and plugs

My 1.6 sx will still not give me a note

Well ive been hard graftin fuses, spark plugs, cut off switches, sensors, you name it.But the bravos got me beat.Could anyone tell me when you start you bravos does the petrol pump make a noise just before it starts.I think mine used to but it dont anymore, and that could be the problem.thanks to all so far, just hope i can sort it. j w

You should hear the pump when you put the key on MAR. Just a short work cycle to get the fuel to the engine.
Use a multimeter and check if the power is coming to the pump.
Also you should hear clicking of the relay nex to the fuse under the plastic cover where the fuse is (next to the reservoir for brake/ steering, cant remember 100%)

Thanks pal i think we might of found the problem ,cos its not making that noise so no fuel getting to the engine. Is it possible that when it stalled the eletrical connectors on the fuel pump have come unclipped?Or
do u think it needs a new pump? Thanks j.w

Put your foot to the floor and crank it and keep cranking it, it should fire in 20-30 seconds of cranking.
