you know i think with thew recent styling with the more aggressive front it has helped a lot to shake that image.
i wouldnt like to say yes or no but dont know if i would buy one

But to answer the question, yes they are hairdresser cars

Sorry but my diesel is only 0.9secs behind on 0-60 and only drops 1mph on top speed. The 155 petrol Marea will eat it for breakfast.
If you wanted a roadster... then you would go for the Barachetta.
If you wanted to take a little off the top and plenty off the sides, you'd get the MX5.

It has the image of being a hairdresser's car, but I couldn't give a flying fudge. Bloody talented in the bends that's for sure. Hate the styling of the MK3 though, MK1 all the way baby.
they used to be, but hairdressers are now paid more, so basically any 2door merc coupe thing is now a hairdressers car.

Voted... Mrs WNWL loves them, then I point out that she wouldn't have to drive it She likes the B' too but the steering wheel is on the wrong side, considers the X1/9 ugly and has started saying 'thats nice' when she sees an MGF :nutter:

I would say no, cos I know someone who's got an MX5 & they not a hairdresser, whereas my good mate Lisa Lashes is a hairdresser but she drives a Puma

Well my 31 yr old, 6ft2in, 20-stone, balding housemate has just bought a MK1 on a J-Plate so I think it's now also a mid-life crisis car.
Have to say though, it's quite fun to drive but as a big fella you do feel a bit of a berk driving it. And the price of them! I can't believe he paid more than my car is worth for a 16 year old car with 125k on the clock in average condition. Scary.
