Fantastic car, bought second hand 2004 1.9JTD with 40 000km on, but so many problems, I think I got a monday or Friday car. Have since done 27 000kms. Had a serious loss of engine power the other day, while the mechanics where checking the turbo boost pipe I decided to check the air filter, which was the problem as the filter had been sucked into the air intake, very weird - Replaced and have full power again.
Have to keep checking engine bay as bolts and nuts are continualy coming loose.
1) Injector pipe came loose, very difficult to get to and re-tighten.
2) Bolt broke on engine manifold. Replaced stud and bolt.
3) Had to replace both front wheel bearings (R1700-00) due to damage caused by our bad roads ie potholes
4) Replaced cracked hi-pressure oil pipe
5) LH front sunvisor broke.
6) Replaced std radio, stopped working after a while.
7) Some electrical problems - dry joints on pc board controlling flicker lights.
8) Relay controlling flicker lights burnt out.
Waiting for cluch to go..,think I will be buying a Mazda5 when it gets to SA.
