Hi all, been meaning to join the forum since I got my first multipla 4 years ago...and it's only after as many years fixing it that have the time 😂

Right, each car has been my favourite until stop working! I seem to specialise & fall in love with ugly motors, being previously a ford Thames owner- until the diff went, (I got gangrene whilst replacing it & it wasn't the right diff & had to let it go) I replaced the gearbox - making a working Citroen Dyane from 2 cars and took it up the Pyrenees. I adored the E' reg honda accord with probably the nicest 2l petrol automatic engine that I've ever had, a fiat Talbot campervan with another 2l high pressure petrol engine that enabled the huge 5berth overcab camper nip in and out of traffic like a car!). ...but most recently I love my multipla, 55 plate new shape, dinged and danged and the sweetest Swedish 1.9jtd engine -(it's the Saab engine)(& frankly the only good thing about the car besides the seats & space) - makes the ugly old granny dance 🩰 on her goody 4 shoes as swiftly as the "rusty rusty fix fix " allows. J'adore the clip out well balanced seats that even I can swing in & out with dick n Tom knees & back~ truly a modern day professor pat pending...but I'm not sure that I can keep on top of it no -more.
After rescuing it for an initial 900 quid, and spending about 2000 on it - the 2nd lot of welding ( I had the underside done in 2020)- to rear its head, has caused me to consider passing it on for £900 as is - sans mot, looks 'rough, but running beautifully., 130k with regular oil & filter changes & fuel filter, & all the belts renewed just before I got it when the crankshaft pulley was replaced.
Back to the present....If I have to spend the 6-700 pounds mot-ing it then I will be advertising it again for £2000 due to the sheer amount of meticulous mechanical and rust work done
Bit of a new one to navigating on this site but I expect on my 3rd go I might be able to find the classifieds.... But I thought to mention it in chat. ..... It's had new subframe that's about 4 years old now ( nice welcome gift!) Battery terminals & HD battery 🔋 sorted. Starter motor, handbrake cables, Alternative mechanism for securing a full size spare wheel and tyre underneath Sorted. Carpet & parcel shelf sourced. Half the front & rear suspension replaced. the rear tube welded good 👍. Towbar & electrics working great, and it still looks like a heap! Rear wiper not working, small leak around the Ariel/ radio connexion needs sealing and half sorted lock & bumper issue .....in addition to the welding required for the mot: which would finish off the underside restoration started 2 years ago, and a CV boot ; and then would be ready for beautifying the paintwork & other cosmetic stuff & little things.
So if that was a bit confused 🤔...the bottom line is I'm out of life time, to keep doing this project - so am looking to pass it on as is for an honest £900, and if you're new to multipla's, then it's not a bad way to go to spend the same money on one that looks alright as you would end up buying one for 9-1200 pounds and still end up having to do the work! So if this sounds of interest to you, & you've got the cash ready, give me a call in Bristol. Thanks forum person.
