Having to commute to and from Glasgow weekly, 500 miles a week. So my service intervals will change. Can anyone seriously recommend a Fiat indenpendent in City of Glasgow or south of Glasgow where I stay.??

Can't this be done with MultiEcu? If you've got a laptop, you only need to buy the VAG/KKL interface cable for about a tenner.

This can reset airbag and ABS faults, so I'd be surprised if it can't do a simple service reset.

I didn't mean it to come across as rude..was just saying most things servicing wise are very simple. There really is no need to pay expensive dealer rates..or find a nice friendly independant.

True but just because it's a dealer it's not always expensive. Often the 32 point service is only £69 or £99 with MOT. Take into account 5 litres of good oil (and yes dealers do use decent oil, they have too) and the oil filter and the dealer is not making much if anything but it's still work and keeping the workshop going, good for the customer;

If your crafty you can get car collected/delivered plus carpets cleaned and car washed thrown into the bargain ;)

I have a Autel AU702 for that. Best bit of kit I have ever had and does every single make and model of car, petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004.

As I am new in Glasgow, a nice friendly independent is what I am looking for. Found a independent Alfa Romeo garage, but only do petrol Fiats and Alfa's, but in Dunfries.

True. I have seen a local Fiat Dealer in Paisley ( Arnold Clark ) and have a simular offer. They do sell a lot of Qubo's, cos forecourt full of them.
