Does anyone have any recommendations for speakers and sub for the multi?
As I can't have a fast sleek motor, I figured I'd like to jazz up the interior. Ive done my respraying so figured id move onto sounds.
Baring in mind that the Multi is a barge, does anyone have affordable options for speakers, head unit, etc?

Yes mate. That sounds good.
Nice to meet some local FF folk too.
As for budget, well its no show car so I guess we'd be limited to a couple hundred.

Well a lot of the distortion would be at the Head unit. Also you will ideally want to put in Components as having all of the frequencies coming from the doors isnt great. Ive never looked at the Multipla sound system but i would imagine that there is a space for separate tweeters and it probably has them as standard. This means that there is every possibility what you linked to could be a step down.

Yeah, there are tweeters on the A pillars, at least, there are mouldings for them.
Surely the higher rating of the linked speakers vs the lower output of the hu would mean a cleaner sound, or have I misunderstood that?
Ta

Yes you have mis understood. A power rating of a speaker is the amount of power that they would like to work properly. Those would like 45w RMS (ignore max power figures). Your head unit will be around 10w RMS. This means that it will struggle to give them the power that they need. Ideally you want to match power but your never going to do that using the head unit.
The good thing about the ones you linked to is the efficiency at 90db/1m. The sensitivity relates to how much power that it needs to get it moving. 90 is good as it doesnt need a lot so will be louder at 10 watts than most. It doesnt mean it will sound good though.

If running off the head unit then Hertz energy are good. I wouldnt do the rear as you don't sit back there. You don't want to hear them in the front. A big part of the upgrade is geting the levels and tuning correct.
If you want me to get a price on Hertz Energy speakers let me know.

Yeah a price would be great Stu.
Do you want the HU model so you know what you're dealing with?
I was also considering a sub, but I don't want it to bounce down the road. Just something subtle enough to notice but not to "boy me up".
Maybe I'm asking too much.

You should definitely come and listen come and have a listen to my car before you buy anything. It's designed around stereo sound like relaxing at home with a decent audio system.
I've also got a set of components and an amp (albeit in Essex atm) that I have been saving for somebody that would appreciate it if your interested.
