Hi folks,
My first post re.my new Multi so be gentle ;-)
I recently purchased a 2003 Multi 115 ELX (with aircon) which has a problem with the heater. The fan doesn't work and the guy that sold me it told me that he had bought the wrong resistor (Part No. 46770858. Dealer reckons that it should be 46770751) which explains the problem with the fan.
My other problem is that the heating control doesn't seem to work and seems to be constantly on hot air. Although there is no fan blowing out hot air it still requies the windows down and sunroof open in this weather.
Will the proper resistor cure all? Could it be a problem with heater flaps/motors? I've done a search through previous posts but they all seem to be concerned with the fan not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers in advance :)

if its got climate control (eg an auto option on the fan speed control switch), you could try leaving the earth strap disconnected from the main vehicle battery overnight. this might reset the climate control ecu and all the flap positions etc. its possible the wrong resistor might be causing your fan speed problems but i wouldve thought its unlikely its causing the temperature problems.

other than that you can move the temp from cold to hot and see if you can see any actuators moving under the dash.

worst case youre gonna have to get a fiat code reader called an examiner on it, get them to go into the climate control ecu and see whats what from there.

Thanks for the replies. I'll let you know how I get on :)
