In my research before I bought a Multipla I came across a shelf for the boot - it was, as I recall, a dog guard type thing, with a shelf on it. In the picture the dog was sat on the shelf, which left room underneath it for other luggage.

I can't find one anywhere now though - possibly because I am searching for the wrong thing, or perhaps because I dreamt it?

Does such a thing exist? It isn't in the Fiat catalogue anymore and I've not seen one on eBay - goodness knows where I saw it before! Assuming I didn't dream it, does anyone know where I could get one? It would be great for us to put the pram on the shelf.

I did something similar in a Discovery years ago. 1 piece of MDF, 4 2ft lengths of 2x2 for legs. Worked a treat. I think the total cost was about £10 at the time.

That's my other option, but the ready made one looks nicer than anything I could make!

Forum member 'loopyhoop' was selling one of those on here some time ago. I think they listed it on ebay. Try a search of the forum.

Have you tried asking at your Fiat dealer?

And almost a year later, when looking for a drum brake adjuster, I found one.

It would still be very useful, but perhaps not £180 worth of useful.

Two german shephers and two suitcases, thanks to the shelf!

Don't think they'd be happy if you closed the boot, mind you :/

No - although I prefer dogs in the crunmple zone to children, although that seems to be the norm in 'other' MPVs.

I wouldn't want this for dogs anyway though, on account of not owning any. I just though the space under it would be useful for the eight types of ephemera we seem to have rattling around the boot (walking boots, folding charirs, a pram, two footballs etc) - you could keep the clutter under the shelf and then have a flat surface to put your shopping so you weren't forever discovering escaped tins of tomatoes in amongst everyting else!

:D I would imagine that two Alsatians would sit exactly where they chose to, in the car, with no argument! :D
