Technical Multipla Audio Upgrade & Subwoofer

HiYa Oblong,

- don't know about the ' woofer ' but my rear camera / USB / Video etc are down to the stereo brand / model .. .. not the ISO connector
- the ISO in the bug is a EURO standard
- mine went in first time, other then the RT phone
- the RT phone needed a [ see the bottom of post ] pin~swap
- tape is brill for about a minute, don't do it a 12v solder iron is about a tenner
- you mention but don't explain why you need a [ 12V supply ] antenna connector ?
- BTW you should try the existing speakers first .. .. you may be surprised at what you hear with a good input
- only ' chavs ' use sub~woofers, active or otherwise, they do nothing for you at all in the car and are a phallic only badge :bang:

- its a free world, thank god, go and pi$$ off everyone / house you pass if that's your thing
- or go see your GP, he will syringe your ears free of charge
- the internal square volume of anything other than a 48 seat coach will not be better sound with a woofer - it just bends the roof

Pin Swap : a plug is a plug, its a lump of plastic that little yellow men pushed in at maufacuring level. A pair of needle point pliers - pull the bit~o~metal out and stick into a different hole per the diagram.

I know this is ancient history, but this replay just shows the childish nature of some against the audiophiles out there.

A well positioned, mounted and tuned subwoofer is an essential part of a system, as are the mids and tweets, get them right and they will improve the sound tremendously, the Multipla has a massive advantage in this area, the space in the car is exactly what is needed to do this, the underseat space is great if you want the slimline active woofers from the likes of Kenwood or Alpine .etc as they'll simply just mount to the passngers side floor, but the boot being the way it is leaves a custom build easily doable and will also leave you with useable bootspace.... with another advantage of the spare being underneath the car. As for making the roof flex... well I have a double sunroof, so no flexing there, but if it worries you then sound deadening material is available, of if you're a cheapskate, self adhesive flashing from B&Q is exactly the same but doesn't have a brand name printed on it...like you could see it anyway....Now as a comparison, I have 2 Alfa 156s, 1 with the BOSE system and one without, they both have the same headunit and both have the same Bose speakers in, though obviousy the second is without the amp and sub, and I can say the difference in certainly notable, not just the volume but with both at the same level the full Bose system is a far better sounding system, the punchy bass, the undistorted mids and distinct highs make the removal of low pitch tones from the mids well worth the effort, the same difference as if you were gaming with speakers or a headset, the message is that things are made for a reason and Subs, no matter how loud will make a massive improvement to your audio pleasure, just don't cheap out.
