Advice needed fairly urgently!
Broke down a couple of weeks ago, had fluid pouring out bottom of engine, smoke etc.... rac man diagnosed power steering pump. Just had the job done, it took nearly two weeks in the garage, they were apparently sourcing a cheaper pump rather than pay the £300 quoted. However, i collected car 2 days ago and it seems to be vibrating somewhere, checked the cover as it was loose, so got that tightened up but still sounds weird, are new pumps noisy??? I have paid £340 for this job as apparently it was hard to get to etc.... so if they have not fitted it correctly i will need to go back to garage. I feel rather intimidated in garages so i am hoping not to have to! It drives fine. Any advice welcome at this stage?
