I recently bought an ELM / OBD11 interface along with the yellow adapter lead from Electronic-Fuchs as recommended on the MES site, when I try to connect MES (registered version) on my laptop it tells me to connect the elm device even though it’s already connected to the car. All I’m getting on the interface is a red LED when connected to my laptop. Any help appreciated.

Have you adjusted your com port and latency etc?

No, the COM port. It runs on a Com port, you have to go into the control panels and set the baud rate and latency. Hang on, I'l fire up my laptop. I'm on Windows 10 and my prevous XP machine that died worked fine. It wouldn't connect first of all and I changed just the latency I think, then in the MES settings selected the com port that you've just set up and it picks it up. I'll post again in a few minutes.

Ok I got it sorted, the comms were not setup correctly in the MES settings menu - thanks for the prompt!

So I ran Proxi successfully and the flashing mileage has stopped but still no b&m so presumably that confirms the module is duff and also presumably I’ll still get the parasitic drain until I disconnect it? Thanks again

I’ll post the photo of my settings anyway as it may help someone who searches for this in the future.
