Multidisc Changer Help!

some theaving scum bag nicked my cd player.

So i bought a fiat punto MK2 cassette/radio head unit with multidisc controls by Blauplunkt.

Mate said ohhh buy a blauplunkt multidisc changer and all is sorted they will fit together. so silly me i did!

Blauplunkt CDC F-03 it was!

took it to a local audio specialist who told me it could not be put into fiat because of the connections.

Is there any way around this?
Surely the connections can be changed too fiat ones with some kind of lead???

Im pretty sure u can get an adaptor that will et you plug in a sony or kenwood cd changer with your original head unit. However, as far as changing from one blaupunkt to another is concerned, i dont think you can. Get on the phone to blaupunkt, although they may tell you that fiat products are wired "exclusively for fiat" or something similar

not sure about standard head units... but a company called "connects2" sells adapter leads for pretty much every changer to pretty much every (aftermarket) manurfacture hu...like i say i dont know if these will connect to a standard HU, but worth a try.

i would imagine that the reason he didn't buy an after market one is the fact that it is "nice" & "shiney" after having one nicked from the car, i would figure must put you off putting a spanking new unit in there

Anyways taking the multidisc changer to turners audio and alarms in sunderland today to see what they can do!

You could take it out of the car insted of leaving it there for the taking . Hartlepool is a lovely place, things like this don't happen every day
