Does the multi-air system on the 3C / 1.0ltr Firefly engine have a filter?

I need to change the oil on mine, so I can check out the filter at the same time.

I presume it's otherwise supposed to be a "sealed for life"/don't touch it/non-service part..?

Dont know, but surely they must have one as the other engines do??
As far as I know they are not meant for service, and I personally think best left well alone. They are only there to catch things the oil filter doesnt and that ought to be not a lot to nothing. The risk of introducing something that gets past the filter while changing or cleaning it is substantial and I would suggest requires almost surgical levels of cleaning and cleanliness are required. Ive read everything I can find on here and broadly few people seem to have noticed a problem once the filters are removed. If you have a full oil service history think carefully before getting involved. If you go for it I wouldnt think you can take too much trouble cleaning and blowing all possible traced or dirt and grit away before starting. The need for right grade of oil comes sharply into focus when you think of this filter I feel. WHatever, good luck with it. If you find it and do the deed do update us for the experience and take pics if you can. Good luck with it.

Thoughts going round in my sub concious.

I wonder, if some of the multi / uni air failures are in fact caused by foreign matter getting into the oil and maybe through the oil filler on checks and top ups. I am going to be a bit more careful in future to ensure I wipe round the cap before removal and replacement just in case. A good reason to do your own oil maybe. I am scrupulous with air filter changes and ensuring the air box and pipes are spotless before reconnecting after I had a turbo ruined following a dealer service. The whistling was put down to a grain of sand getting through and chipping a tubo blade which whistled badly ever after. These things dont give second chances.
