A good point Dave - up until a few weeks back, when I reset Trip A by accident, I was going to clock up a few good miles, then compare the Trip MPG to the actual, by reference to mileage and fuel slips.
Last summer we managed 60.3mpg over 600 miles at an average speed of 47mph on a camping holiday around the North of Scotland.
That includes cruising up the A9 at over 80mph and driving along plenty of low speed/low gear backroads.
My normal weekly usage including commuting gives an average of about 47/48mpg and 33mph.
Also BBS why have you got your lights at setting 3, were you towing a trailer at the time? If not your lights would have been shining into the road about 10ft infront of you!

Just thought I'd stick in that if the thing in my punto is anything to go by, those digital readouts are spot on.
I was pretty sceptical (getting 60mpg at one point out of the 1.2) so I worked it out acurately and found that it is dead right which is pretty good really.
Ive beaten my own record MPG! (for the amount of miles) only 60 miles of it was motorway driving, would have been higher but got caught in traffic. Still, v.impressed!
That's about double what I get out of my Abarth.
I see the temp has gone up from 3 C to 10 C... Next time it's 46 C here by us (like it was on Sunday), I will take a photo and post it, just to show a Stilo is built for any temperature
