Not all versions have a MPG figure
So if you've got a vanilla dash - (speedo and fuel) then you've got no MPG figure

The active dash onwards do tho!

The mk2b has a constant MPG figure - ie when you go hoofing it - it tells me 11mpg and i start crying :(

But take the dash like you do your salt
Better off using Fuelly - and getting a signiture like me below

Your reg docs will tell you
If it says
punto - its a vanilla one that somebody has put a new dash in
Insurance websites often tell you too!

tbh a active dash is SOOO worth it

Yeah it just says Fiat Punto, nothing else so yeah vanilla all the way with added stuff from an active. Always made me wonder when I brought the car :D And I couldn't agree more with the active dash :p

Yeah i have older dash just speedo and fuel guage would mkb2 dash work in mine?

Depending on what you cars current milage is
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-PUNT...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ec53dd063

i cant vouch for the dash working, but something like that will work a treat for you
If you've got a car thats above 86K
Or say at 80K - drive the remaining amount then fit it

But remember you do ideraly need a dash set that LOWER then your cars current milage, give or take a few of course

Nice little guide there for you

Yes it'll all plug and play
I did a swap back on my old punto - way before it became a big boom
And it was plug and play - and it all worked

I went for a drive first - got engine hot - so i could check needle worked
fuel compared to old reading (ok)
and checked the Rev counter worked
I didnt check speedo because of the milage - it'd upset my old set because the milage would change on a tiny scale

Anyway
I dropped it off at my local auto sparky - and he fitted it - programmed it in (proxy alignment) To match my current mileage As dash was lower then my cars current milage

It went of from 70k to a slow death from 100k to 110k No problems!

The bulb malfunction light soon started coming on cause i had a lazy bulb

sometimes a dash fitted displays an error that isn't there (ps / eml etc)- should be cured with proxy alignment

Sorry for souning like an amateur but what is ' fuelly ' ?

See the signature in the post above yours!

It's a website where you can track your fuel consumption. Lots of Forum members use it; and you can compare your consumption with other owners of the same model, etc.. See here...! (y)

Personally, I use an app on my iPad called Road Trip HD; but I believe that Fuelly do an iOS and an Android app, as well....
