Technical mpg dropped recently reasons?

hi
finally got my multi mot'd. after the fiasco with the radius arm it needed new drivers wishbone and passenger track rod end.
i have noticed the read out on the computer is lower than it had been before the radius arm was fixed.
it was reading 48mpg consistenly but now barely makes 39mpg.
i thought it would at least stay the same as the tyre isn't rubbing on the inner arch now and all the tracking is sorted.
could it be a knackard maf sensor?

Petrol or diesel with that mpg I would of said diesel could be that on not they rag it on the ramps and it just needs reseting they do all this for checks like gasses and vibration noise etc easy to reset though And try

yes it's a diesel i meant to say, what needs resesting and can i do it myself

is it average mpg

if so battery might have been disconnected effectively resesting the average to zero

The more miles you do the average will change try long journey average will go up

if trip is reset on the dobby we get low mpg until average goes up

Go to top of multi page to mpg read out page 8 half way down u will find a thread from me the rac man then tells u how to do it let me no how it goes

i reset it after filling up and i've disconnected the maf sensor. its showing 48mpg round town now so im guessing the maf sensor is affecting something. car runs fine with it un plugged and no managment lights on the dash so i'll leave as is for time being and see what happens
