mp3s and mixed compilations

bit of an odd one, and prob not gunna get anywhere with it but here goes....
i have a jvc kd-r411 head unit with memory stick input for mp3s. i have just put a few mix compilations on the memory stick to listen to. the playback on the pc for eg is fine moving from each track, i.e there is no gap between tracks and the mix is as it should be like in a club or on a cd. problem i got is when its playing in the car, there is a pause between each track... is there any way that i could stop this without having to make the compilation into a long single track. i listen to a lot of dance music and its annoying to say the least.

if the mp3's have a silence at the start and end you can remove that but chances are they don't

only was is to listen to them kind of tunes through CD

your pc will probably have a gapless playback. i believe things like ipods have this feature but its not going to be common.

i guess ill be burning off some cds then and keeping to single tracks on the usb.

PC's have the advantage of being able to cache the first few seconds of the next track while the current one is playing, I imagine only higher-end HU's will have that facility.
