MP3 stick or iPod?

Hi, jJust wondering how easy it is to make playlists and manage your favourites with a usb flash drive as opposed to an iPod with iTunes? I used to use my iPod and was really happy with the results from my Pioneer head unit but I dropped it a while back and killed the hard drive so I've got the option of spending £30 on a new hard drive so I can use it with Blue&Me in the 500 i've ordered or just spending £15 on a flash drive and using that.

So how easy is it to make playlists on a flashdrive for Blue&Me and manage them? Oh and what software do you guys use to manage your playlists and music?

I just have my music arranged in folders by artist and album, and I rip music from CDs using media player and then just drag and drop the music files to the flash drive. I think it says in the B&M manual that it recognises windows media player playlists but I seem to recall others have been unable to get these to work. I havent tried them myself.

If you press the nice B&M lady's button on the steering wheel you can say words like folders, artists, genres and so on, and then browse thru each category and play what you want.
