Havent been on the forum for a while but thought i'd let you know an update on my Ulysse 2.0 El

I love this car despite its idiosyncrasies.(y)

Recently had to replace the exhaust from the cat back. ATS wanted £248 fitted with 2yr warranty. Phoned around and got it for £120 fitted with 2 yr warranty.

While ringing around I came across a local company doing stainless with lifetime warranty for £150, not bad ey, but as i'm unsure of keeping the car or going down the 4x4 route I chose not to pay the extra for the stainless.

Took the car for its MOT failed only on a track rod end. Garage wanted £75 + vat to change it.(n)

I phoned the local car spares and the cost of the part is £9.50, phoned a garage local to my work and they'll fit it for £15(y)

Got a really bad knocking from the nearside I was hoping the MOT would identify the problem and I told the tester of the problem, he wasn't able to find anything wrong though and the failed part is on the offside too.

Had a similar thing on my mot last Nov in my case it was the wheel bearing (near side) making weird noises at40 - 60 then would go quiet.Trying to find the fault myself I tried rocking the wheel side to side and top to bottom but seemed ok.The tester however spun the wheel and you could hear a sort of rumble not unlike the disc rubbing and he diagnosed and failed on that.
For some reason no one could supply a pattern part so got a local guy to fit Fiat kit total cost £70 + 35 lab + vat.
